Store Policy

SHIPPING NOTICE: We always prefer to ship to FedEx hubs for customer pickup as there is less risk of delayed shipments and the animals spend less time traveling in non-climate controlled vehicles.  However, if you are unable to pickup your animal at a FedEx hub we also offer shipment to residential addresses.  The address for residential shipments must match the address on your payment method, typically PayPal.  If the addresses do not match then we will only ship to a FedEx hub.

Purchasing

Due to the abundance of inquiries we receive, we cannot hold any animal without a 30% non-refundable deposit or payment in full.  Once we receive payment in full, you will be added to our shipping list.  Animals must be paid in full by Saturday to be eligible for shipping the following Tuesday.  See "Shipping" for further information. 
 

Shipping

Please understand that we are a small business employing two (2) people who work additional full time jobs outside of Exquisite Exotics.  Our local FedEx is one (1) hour away from our facility.  Because of this, we only ship on Tuesdays via FedEx Priority Overnight.  This means your animal(s) will arrive on a Wednesday.  All animals are shipped 'signature-required' so you must be home/at delivery site. Shipping is dependent on temperatures and weather at our facility ("here"), at your delivery location, as well as the FedEx hub it will be traveling through.  Crested Geckos will not be shipped at temperatures higher than 90°F.  No exceptions.  Shipping in $50 east of the Mississippi and $65 west of the Mississippi to a FedEx hub. Residentials shipments add an additional $10 fee.

We contact all of our customers on our shipping list via email on Sunday.  We discuss if shipping is possible for that Tuesday.  If so, we ship that week.  If not they remain on the shipping list and we contact them the following Sunday.  This process continues until we can ship your animal.  We must receive an email reply by noon EST Monday to schedule shipment.  If we do not receive an email reply your animal will not ship that week for its safety.  No exceptions. 

 

Shipping Restrictions

We only ship to the contiguous United States, also known as the lower 48. We do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii. We also do not ship to anywhere outside of the United States at this time.

Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG)

All animals shipped come with a Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG).  If the unthinkable does happen and the animals does not arrive alive, we will issue a full refund or a credit towards another animal of your choice from Exquisite Exotics.  For your LAG to be valid YOU MUST accommodate the following:

- You have signed for your animal on the first attempt of delivery or picked up your animal at a Hub within 2 hours of it being available for pickup.
- You must contact us within one (1) hour of delivery.
- Pictures of the deceased animal will be required to identify properly.  If needed, we will work with you on pictures required.

Ball Python Genetics

 

We guarantee all Heterozygous (Het) listed on the animals we produce are accurate. All multi gene co-dom animals will be identified to the best of our abilities. We will never intentionally misrepresent an animal but mistakes can happen when working with complex co-dom pairings.

Crested Gecko Disclaimer

All animals are eligible for our Live Arrival Guarantee.  However, crested gecko tail loss during travel is not part of the LAG.  We take pride in how we package and ship our crested geckos.  Unfortunately, we have no control over the handling of your package by FedEx.  Because of this we cannot provide a refund (full or partial) on any animal that drops its tail during shipping.  Be assured that even though tail loss happens occasionally, it will not affect the health and well being of your gecko. 

Abandonment and Refunds

Abandonment: After we have received payment, partial or full, we remain in contact with our customers.  If at any time, we are unable to reach a customer for 30 days we will consider this animal abandoned and you forfeit your purchase.  A 30% (total cost of purchase) abandonment fee will apply.   

Refunds & Returns

 

All refunds are less a 5% (total cost of purchase) restocking fee. Return shipping is at the cost of the buyer. All returns must be initiated within the first 24 hours of receiving the animal. All refunds require that the animal purchased is returned. Refunds will be issued upon safe arrival of the animal back to Exquisite Exotics.
