About the Team

Darrell and Holly are a married couple who run Exquisite Exotics together. Both enjoy their vacations to Disney World and their road trips to everywhere else! They live next to many horse farms with their cat and a zoo of reptiles.

Darrell

Darrell has been an exotic pet owner most of his life.  His first reptile was a Chinese water dragon named Draco whom he had for 17 years.  From then he has adopted and owned a leopard gecko, both fresh water and salt water reef aquariums, ball pythons, poison dart frogs, ferrets, hamsters, rabbits and more!  He also has a decent green thumb!

Graduating college with a mechanical design background Darrell has had the insight to create and maintain his own efficient and easy DIY enclosures and processes.  Because of this he is great at organizing and prioritizing our animal's needs.  You can find most of his projects, step by step, in the "DIY and How To" section of this website to learn more!

When he is not working, which is most everyday, Darrell enjoys many other hobbies including gaming, RC cars, paintball, reading, and spending time with his friends and family.  But his favorite things are his little buddy Harley, a black cat, and his yellow Jeep LJ.

Holly

Holly's love of plants and animals also started very young with pets and the outdoors.  As a child and teenager, Holly was a member of the Audubon Society and volunteered with the Nickelodeon Big Help event.  Continuing into adulthood, she cares about conservation and the environment, hoping that captive breeding will save the pet industry from reducing the number of wild caught animals and stop big-box animal abuse.

Holly's financial background helps with the business as well on a more behind-the-scenes aspect.  She runs the social media pages where she can photograph the animals and share facts and tips online.

Holly likes to draw and paint, play video games as well as tabletop RPG's, read, spend time with her friends and family, and drink copious amounts of tea.
